Burning Man returns to Nevada’s Black Rock Desert in 2026 under the theme Axis Mundi. The theme considers the places and ideas that connect people, communities and the natural world. Black Rock City will open from 30 August to 7 September before being removed from the playa after the event.

Private Jet to Reno

For most clients, we recommend flying to Reno-Tahoe International Airport, RNO. Reno is the closest commercial airport to Burning Man and the main arrival point for passengers continuing towards Black Rock City.

Flying into Reno allows us to source an aircraft that suits your full route and baggage needs. It is also the practical choice for larger groups and long-distance flights that are not suited to the temporary runway at Black Rock City. From Reno, you can continue by licensed road transport, Burner Express Bus or Burner Express Air. We can arrange road transport where requested or set your private flight time around an onward service that you have booked through the official Burner Express programme.

From Reno to Black Rock City

Burner Express Air operates flights between Reno and Black Rock City Municipal Airport, known as 88NV. The flight from Reno takes about 40 to 45 minutes. Burner Express Air operates from Stellar Aviation, which is on the opposite side of RNO from the commercial airline terminal and about eight minutes away by car.

Connections are not guaranteed. Burner Express Air recommends allowing at least 90 to 120 minutes after a domestic arrival in Reno and several hours after an international arrival. We can set your private charter schedule around a confirmed Burner Express Air departure, but the two flights remain separate bookings.

Flying Into Black Rock City Airport

Black Rock City Municipal Airport is a temporary airfield that operates during Burning Man. It is not a standard private jet terminal, and access is controlled by the event’s airport team. All charter flights into 88NV must operate through the Burner Express Air programme. In 2026, Burner Express Air is the only provider of charter passenger flights to and from Black Rock City. Pilots and air carriers must also register and receive approval before landing.

Passengers must hold a Burning Man ticket, valid entry credential or accepted will-call confirmation. Flights operate during daylight hours and may be delayed or cancelled because of dust, wind, visibility, runway conditions or other operating limits. Burner Express Air bookings must be made through the official programme. Burning Man 2026

Burning Man 2026 takes place from 30 August to 7 September in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert.

The theme, Axis Mundi, focuses on the places and ideas that connect people, communities and the natural world. During the event, participants create Black Rock City as a temporary home for art, camps, performance and shared participation. Its remote setting means flights, transport and baggage plans should be confirmed well before departure.

Group Flights to Burning Man

We can arrange one aircraft for friends, camps, artists, production crews and private groups travelling to Reno together. The aircraft will depend on the route, number of passengers and amount of baggage. Options may include an executive turboprop, private jet, regional aircraft or chartered airliner. We can handle the passenger list, private terminal arrangements, catering and transport from Reno. Any flight continuing into 88NV must still operate under the Burner Express Air programme.

Baggage, Bikes and Camp Equipment

Burning Man passengers often carry costumes, tools, bikes, cases and camp gear. The size and weight of these items may have as much bearing on the aircraft as the passenger count. Before we quote, we ask for the dimensions and weight of each large item. We can then check storage space, baggage-door size and payload before selecting an aircraft. A bike may travel on your private charter into Reno when the aircraft has enough room. Burner Express Air does not carry bicycles, so bikes must be moved to Black Rock City by another method.

Burner Express Air includes one bag weighing no more than 25 pounds and measuring no more than 24 by 14 by 9 inches. Extra baggage may be accepted for a charge when the aircraft weight and balance allow it. Large art, water and heavy camp supplies should be sent separately. Tell us about batteries, tools, fuel or restricted goods before booking. Some items may need different packing or road transport.

We recommend booking your arrival and return flights together, since aircraft and transport choices may narrow near the opening and closing dates. Each passenger must hold the ticket or access document required for their arrival date. A private charter booking does not include entry to Burning Man.
