Dubai is one of the busiest private aviation markets in the world, and for residents it is among the better connected places to fly out of. The Gulf sits within a few hours of Europe, India, East Africa and Central Asia, and the aircraft based across the UAE cover every category, so the choice on most routes is between several options rather than one.
Global Charter has a Dubai office, and the pattern of what leaves here is distinct from most markets. Demand builds through the summer as residents head out ahead of the heat, peaks around the Eid holidays and the school break, and settles through the winter months when the city itself is at its most comfortable.
Dubai Private Jet Airports
Both of Dubai’s airports handle private traffic, though most of what we arrange goes from Al Maktoum. The choice between them comes down to where in the city you are starting from.
- Al Maktoum International (DWC): In Dubai South, around 40 minutes from Downtown and closer from the Jebel Ali and Dubai Marina side. Purpose-built for private aviation, with dedicated terminals away from the commercial operation, and no airline congestion to work around. The usual choice for departures where ground time matters.
- Dubai International (DXB): 5 miles east of Downtown and far closer to the city centre, Business Bay and Jumeirah. It handles private traffic through its own executive facility alongside one of the busiest commercial operations in the world, which means a shorter drive but more on the ground to contend with.

What a charter from Dubai costs comes down to the distance and the aircraft that distance calls for, and the spread is wide because the Gulf puts different places within reach. Three of the routes we handle most show the range:
- Dubai to Riyadh – from €9,500
- Dubai to the Maldives – from €32,500
- Dubai to Istanbul – from €32,500

Prices differ a little by direction on most of these routes. London to Dubai is a good example, since the winds help going east and the flight is shorter than the same route westbound, which usually shows up as a slightly lower figure.
Popular Aircraft for a Dubai Private Jet Charter
The aircraft that suits your trip depends on where you are going, how many of you there are and what you are travelling with. Dubai sees a broader mix of clients than most markets, and the result is a route list that stretches from short regional hops to some of the longest flights we arrange.
Anything inside two hours sits comfortably in light territory for most groups. A super-midsize will reach most of Europe nonstop, and on paper that is enough for a large share of what leaves Dubai. In practice many clients prefer something like the Falcon 7X on those routes, for the cabin and the margin it gives on a flight of six or seven hours rather than for the range alone.
The far side of Asia and the US west coast are where range genuinely decides it, and those trips call for the longest aircraft available.
Dubai Charter Activity, Six Months On
The airspace closure earlier this year was brief, but it reshaped demand for a while afterwards. Departures stopped, there was a rush to get out once movements resumed, and prices rose sharply while that lasted. For a period after it, a good number of people avoided the region where they had the option to.
That has settled. Activity is back to normal levels, pricing has come down with it, and the routes that dipped are running as they were before. Dubai has worked hard to restore confidence, and the demand figures suggest it has landed.

Lead times vary more by route than by season here. The Gulf hops can often be arranged the same day, while anything to Europe or the islands over the school holidays is worth raising several weeks out.
