Private Jet to the Qatar Grand Prix 2026
The Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix takes place at Lusail International Circuit from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 November 2026. The weekend follows the standard Formula 1 format, with three practice sessions, qualifying on Saturday and the 57-lap Grand Prix on Sunday.
We arrange private jet flights to Doha around the race programme, QCAA landing permission, airport slots, handling approval and aircraft parking. Doha International is the main business aviation option we consider, while Hamad International can be used when its runway capability or confirmed availability better suits the flight.
Benefits of Flying Private to the Qatar Grand Prix
- Flight times based on the race programme: Arrivals and departures can be planned around practice, qualifying and Sunday’s Grand Prix.
- Private aviation facilities: Passengers can use an appointed FBO or general aviation facility rather than the main airline process.
- Aircraft selected for the route: The jet is chosen according to passenger number, baggage, flight distance and cabin requirements.
- One aircraft for the group: The booked passengers travel together with agreed catering and cabin arrangements.
- Planned Sunday departure: Post-race traffic, airport formalities, aircraft parking and crew duty limits are checked before take-off is confirmed.
Private Jet Costs for the Qatar Grand Prix
The figures below are current one-way estimates for the whole aircraft. They are not per-passenger fares or guaranteed live offers.
Flights from Dubai or Riyadh may suit a light or super light jet when the passenger and baggage totals fit the selected aircraft. Flights from Europe may require a super-midsize or heavy jet, while New York will normally require an ultra-long-range jet.
The final charter price depends on where the aircraft starts, the selected Doha airport, QCAA permit requirements, airport charges, crew duty time, parking and any empty flights required before or after the passenger sector.Grand Prix demand can reduce aircraft and parking availability. If the jet cannot remain in Doha, the quote may include a repositioning flight and a return sector for passenger collection.
Best Private Jet Airports for the Qatar Grand Prix
Both Doha International and Hamad International can handle international private flights. The final choice depends on the aircraft, confirmed handling arrangements, slot, parking, hotel location and return schedule.
Doha International Airport (DIA): As Qatar’s primary airport, DIA is ideally equipped for private jet travellers, providing top-tier FBO services to ensure your experience remains smooth and exclusive. Located just a short drive from the Lusail International Circuit, DIA offers the best access to the Grand Prix.
Landing Permission, Slots and Handling Approval
A private charter cannot operate into Qatar based only on aircraft availability. Three separate arrangements must be completed:
- Ground handling approval from Qatar Aviation Services.
- Schedule or slot approval for the arrival and departure times.
- Landing permission from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority.
The current Qatar AIP requirements for non-scheduled flights state that landing applications must be submitted at least 72 hours before the intended flight. The application includes the operator, callsign, aircraft type, maximum take-off weight, registration, arrival and departure times, route, purpose of flight, passenger details and charterer information.
All non-scheduled flights must also apply for schedule or slot approval. The Qatar Slot Coordination guidance explains that handling clearance, slot approval and landing permission are separate parts of the process. A submitted request does not guarantee that the preferred time will be approved. The operator must include the QCAA clearance number in the flight plan. We check the permit, handling approval, airport timing and parking before issuing the final itinerary.
