Busiest Private Jet Airports in Europe

Private aviation in Europe follows a very different map from scheduled airline travel.
The airports that matter most are often specialist business aviation fields, or commercial airports with strong private traffic because of where they sit. Our own flight history since 2020 places London Biggin Hill at the top, followed by Nice, Farnborough, Luton and Paris Le Bourget. There is also a clear seasonal split further down the ranking. Ibiza, Olbia and Málaga rise quickly through the summer months, while Geneva draws demand at several different points in the year because it serves both the city and the Alps.
The table below ranks the ten European airports appearing most frequently in Global Charter activity, with 2026 performance and the months that have historically been busiest.
The 10 Busiest Private Jet Airports in Europe
Ranking and flight counts are based on Global Charter activity from 2020 to 7 October 2026. Year-on-year compares 1 January to 7 October 2026 with the same period in 2025. Strongest months are based on the wider flight history.
1. London Biggin Hill Airport (BQH)
Biggin Hill is a specialist business aviation airport southeast of London, serving passengers whose journeys are better aligned with South London, Kent and the wider southeast.
For those trips, Biggin Hill Airport can be more practical than using a field on the opposite side of the capital. The airport sits inside the M25 and operates without scheduled airline services, so the airfield is focused on private and corporate traffic. Its runway measures 1,806 metres. Current opening hours extend to 23:00 on weekdays, with shorter operating periods at weekends and on public holidays.
What makes Biggin Hill especially notable in our data is the strength of recent demand. Activity is 52% higher year on year, and June and July have produced the strongest historical volumes.
2. Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE)
Nice handles private traffic for a much wider stretch of the French Riviera than the city itself.
Passengers may be heading into Nice, but Monaco, Cap Ferrat, Antibes and other destinations along the coast all contribute to activity at NCE. The airport has dedicated business aviation facilities, separate handling infrastructure and three FBO providers. For private jet charter to Nice, the onward journey can be an important part of the trip. During busier Riviera periods, some passengers transfer directly to a helicopter for Monaco rather than continue by road. July and August are the strongest months in our history, while activity is currently 43% ahead year on year.
3. Farnborough Airport (FAB)
Farnborough Airport is one of London's principal dedicated business aviation airports and works particularly well for West London, Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire.
Unlike Luton, there is no scheduled airline operation to work around. The airport is built around private and corporate aircraft, with handling and ground infrastructure designed specifically for business aviation. Its operating hours are more limited than some other London options. Farnborough currently operates from 07:00 to 22:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 to 20:00 at weekends and on bank holidays, so a late arrival can change the airport choice even when FAB is geographically the best fit.
For passengers travelling west or southwest of central London, that trade-off often still makes sense. June and July are historically the strongest months in our data.
4. London Luton Airport (LTN)
Luton is particularly useful for North London, Hertfordshire and passengers travelling via the M1.
Private aircraft operate alongside a substantial scheduled airline operation, but the airport offers the runway capability needed for larger business jets and long-range sectors. It can also provide useful flexibility for flights that fall outside the operating windows of some dedicated business aviation airports. Summer night restrictions still need to be checked for later movements, especially during the busiest part of the season.
5. Paris Le Bourget Airport (LBG)
Paris Le Bourget Airport is the main business aviation airport serving Paris. Unlike London, where private traffic is divided across several major airports, Paris is far more concentrated at one specialist field. Le Bourget is dedicated to business aviation, with private terminals, FBOs, maintenance facilities and ground services centred around corporate aircraft. For most private jet flights to Paris, LBG is the first airport we consider rather than Charles de Gaulle or Orly.
Its position northeast of central Paris also keeps the ground transfer relatively straightforward for many city journeys. June and July lead our longer booking history. Parking and handling can still tighten during major Paris events, particularly around fashion weeks and other high-demand dates.

6. Ibiza Airport (IBZ)
Ibiza's private aviation market is built around a short, intense summer season. July is the strongest month in our data, with June and August close behind. There is no practical second airport on the island, so private jets, scheduled airlines and summer leisure traffic all compete for space at the same field.
For private jet charter to Ibiza, that makes the travel date particularly important. A short flight from London, Paris or Barcelona can require more advance planning in late July than a much longer sector at a quieter time of year. Activity is 44% ahead year on year, reflecting the strength of the current summer market.
7. Geneva Airport (GVA)
Geneva draws business, banking and diplomatic traffic throughout the year, then adds another layer of demand from passengers travelling towards the French and Swiss Alps.
June is the strongest month in our history, with February, March and August close behind. A winter journey can also involve ski equipment and an onward road or helicopter transfer after landing. PPR and aircraft parking need to be considered separately during busier periods. Activity in 2026 is 60% ahead year on year.
8. Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN)
Barcelona-El Prat Airport is the main private aviation gateway to Barcelona and also forms part of the wider western Mediterranean network.
Private aircraft operate inside a major commercial airport rather than through a separate business aviation field, although dedicated corporate aviation facilities keep passengers away from the normal airline terminal flow. June and July are the strongest months in our data. Some trips finish in Barcelona itself, while others connect into short sectors towards Ibiza or Mallorca, which gives BCN a broader role than a simple city arrival airport.
That mix of business travel, leisure demand and onward Mediterranean flying keeps Barcelona relevant even though its private aviation profile is less specialised than Le Bourget or Biggin Hill.
9. Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (OLB)
Olbia's private traffic is closely tied to the Costa Smeralda.
Many passengers continue towards Porto Cervo, Porto Rotondo or other parts of northern Sardinia, with onward transfers often leading directly to a marina, villa or resort. For a private jet to Olbia, July and August dominate the booking history. The airport's dedicated general aviation facilities become particularly important as summer traffic builds. Activity is 144% ahead of 2025, the largest increase in the top ten.
10. Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP)
Málaga serves a broad stretch of the Costa del Sol, with Marbella, Puerto Banús, Sotogrande and other destinations all generating private traffic through AGP.
The airport has dedicated general aviation facilities within the larger commercial operation. July and August are historically the strongest months, when aircraft parking and timing can become more important. Activity is 86% higher year on year, showing how strongly demand has grown across the Costa del Sol market.

What Our European Airport Data Shows
London is the strongest market in the ranking, with Biggin Hill, Farnborough and Luton accounting for 1,062 flights between them.
Nice leads the Mediterranean airports, while Ibiza, Olbia and Málaga become much more important through summer. Together, those four airports account for 817 flights in our data.
Paris is more concentrated around Le Bourget, while Geneva has a broader year-round pattern driven by city traffic and Alpine travel.
