Lanzarote sits at the longer end of European charters, roughly four hours from the UK over the Atlantic. That range requirement rules out the light jets common on our Mediterranean routes and puts most enquiries into midsize aircraft or above. The season inverts too: where mainland Spain fills through July and August, Lanzarote runs hardest from November to March.
Most of our traffic into Lanzarote is from the UK, where a one-way charter typically takes around 3 hours 45 minutes to 4 hours 15 minutes over a distance of roughly 1,540 nautical miles (2,850 km) from London. Departures from Iberia work to a different set of numbers: Madrid is a little over two and a half hours, while Málaga is closer to two.
How Much is a Private Jet to Lanzarote?
One-way charters from London generally fall between €20,000 and €40,000, and the aircraft you end up on determines where in that band you land.
A Challenger 350 is the type we quote most often on this route, at around €29,950 one way. It carries eight passengers with luggage for an extended stay and has the legs to do it without a fuel stop, which is why it has become the default rather than the upgrade. Citation Latitude pricing sits in similar territory.

Three things move the price on this route more than they would on a Mediterranean sector:
- Positioning. There is no based fleet in the Canaries, so nearly every aircraft flies in or out empty. A return with a short turnaround usually prices better per leg than two separate one-ways.
- Ground time. Parking at Arrecife tightens over the winter peaks. Where the aircraft cannot hold for your full stay, it repositions to the mainland and returns, adding two sectors to the quote.
- Lead time. Three weeks out over Christmas gives a genuine choice of aircraft. Five days out gives whatever will reposition, and the price reflects that.

Lanzarote Private Airport
All private traffic arrives at César Manrique-Lanzarote (ACE), just outside Arrecife, and with no secondary field on the island the aircraft you charter is decided by range rather than runway. The single runway handles widebody commercial movements without difficulty, so nothing we quote on this route is constrained by it. General aviation arrivals are processed separately from the main terminal, and transfer times from the ramp are short: around ten minutes to Puerto del Carmen, fifteen to Costa Teguise, and closer to thirty-five for Playa Blanca and Marina Rubicón.

Lanzarote looks nothing like the rest of the Canaries. The 1730s eruptions buried a third of the island under lava, and César Manrique, the artist who spent decades resisting the development that reshaped Tenerife, is the reason it was never built over. Building heights are capped and the low-rise whitewashed architecture is a planning decision rather than tradition.
Most of our clients stay on the sheltered southern coast, around Puerto Calero, Marina Rubicón or Playa Blanca, all within about half an hour of the airport. Costa Teguise is closer to Arrecife and quieter. Famara, on the north-west coast, is the surfing side of the island and a different proposition altogether.
Timanfaya National Park covers the eruption field, with geothermal demonstrations at the visitor centre. La Geria grows vines in pits dug into volcanic ash, producing Malvasía whites you will not find much elsewhere. Jameos del Agua and the Cueva de los Verdes both occupy lava tubes, and the ferry from Órzola reaches La Graciosa, which remains almost entirely undeveloped.
When to Visit Lanzarote?
The weather is not really the variable here. Lanzarote sits in the low twenties through winter and the high twenties in summer, with the north-easterly trades keeping the heat manageable and rainfall negligible in either. What changes is everything else on offer. From May to September our clients are going to Ibiza, Sardinia and the Côte d'Azur, and the Canaries barely feature. From November the Mediterranean closes down and Lanzarote becomes one of the few places within range where the sea is still worth getting into.
That is why demand concentrates between November and March, with Christmas and February half-term the two blocks where accommodation and aircraft availability tighten together. Both reward booking well ahead. April and October are the quieter option, with the same conditions and considerably easier access to aircraft at short notice.
